It’s Pretty Clear That Toddlers Suck.

Yes, their chubby cheeks are cute, and their kisses are heaven-sent, but the catastrophic messes they make, and the unpredictable tantrums they throw, can give anyone the urge to lock themselves into a room, crawl into a ball, and cry… Continue reading It’s Pretty Clear That Toddlers Suck.

My Apologies.

I love my children very much but 90% of the time my nerves are always on edge. Whether it be figuring out what we’re going to eat today, or because I have two toddlers screaming at me, or each other, it gets very frustrating. Continue reading My Apologies.

Introductions

First off I’m a 22 year old mom of 16 month old twins. Anyone with kids, babies, or toddlers knows how grueling the task of being a full time parent to one child is, and I just happened to get lucky with two, on the first try.

Being a parent is great. You get to see all your sweat, and tears and efforts manifest into a growing person that you created, and although their smiles are precious, and their laughs adorable, we know it isn’t always pretty…

That’s where my love for writing comes in. In those spare moments once the kids are asleep, I get to delve into an alternate world completely different than my own.

There’s just something about being able to immerse yourself in a world in another time or another place; something so satisfying about filling blank space with people, places, and things, you’d never get a chance to see in real life, but whose problems, joy and sadness feel like your own.

Since I was 13 years old, becoming a well known author has always been my dream. Just the thought of having my own works published in a tangible, bound, hard or paperback book brings a smile to my face, or to know another human being has enjoyed something I wrote fills my soul with happiness.

Through this blog I will convey the struggles of being a full time mom and a writer, a clash of two worlds where dreams and reality meet.
